Wine:

Sourced from the prized terroirs of Charnay and Pierreclos in the Mâconnais, the 2022 White Mâcon-Villages Vallons de Lamartine delivers a beautifully pure expression of Chardonnay grown on limestone and clay soils. Exclusively vinified in stainless steel tanks, this white wine strikes a perfect balance of floral and fruity notes, with a generous palate, a silky texture, and a vibrant mineral finish. A benchmark for the style, it earned a 93/100 rating and was a standout selection of our Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinified in horizontal stainless steel vats on raw lees, aged on lees for 8 months without stirring.

Color:

Pale, bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Delicate and floral, with citrus aromas and fine saline notes.

Palate:

Full-bodied and mellow, with beautifully ripe fruity flavors, this complex wine has a delicate, mineral finish. A true benchmark for its appellation!

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Aperitif, raw or grilled fish, frogs' legs, pike-perch with beurre blanc, dry cheeses.
