Wine:

This cuvée is undoubtedly the one that has impressed us the most this year! The 2016 red Vin de France Tinus summons all superlatives. From the first sniff, its purity speaks, the fruit shines, and the aromas are magically distilled: abundant blackberries, black pepper, a delicate note of grilled bacon, all wrapped in a mature yet fresh ensemble, perfectly controlled. This wine deserves to be called a great red: in the mouth, its juice impresses with its dimension, texture, and juicy, fresh substance, where the tannins are present but quickly enveloped by this generous sap. It’s a great discovery, a surprising and incredibly seductive wine, perfect for well-prepared red meats. The Committee's favorite, rated 96/100.

An absolute reference in the Mâconnais and hailed by the French press as the "greatest Chardonnay winemaker in the world," Jean-Marie Guffens surpasses all standards. His whites rank alongside the most prestigious Burgundian estates, and all enthusiasts recognize the value of his cuvées.

His dexterity continually drives him to explore new avenues, and he proves very skilled at crafting original wines in all three colors. The Tinus Collection originated at Château des Tourettes, the Luberon property of Jean-Marie and Maine Guffens, situated on limestone-rich soils at 400 meters altitude.
