Wine:
From an incredible terroir, very precocious, where we never tip into excess because there's a buffering effect from the soil, the 2017 red Corton Grand Cru Bressandes is one of those elite bottles that dreams are made of! It's 73 ares that produce just ten to twelve pieces of a powerful wine infatuated with great strength of character but which, beyond this almost gamey grip, of largesse and emphasis, offers something else altogether: a great, suave, loose perfume, with subtle fruit, an absolutely magical tannic softness, and a finish of insane intensity. It's on another level!Vinification:
Hand-harvested, vinified in open wooden vats, daily punching of the cap, malolactic fermentation carried out. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months.Color:
Bright, intense ruby red.Nose:
Delicate, red-fruit aromas with floral and rose notes.Palate:
Virile and concentrated on delicate fruit, this charming wine delivers an intensely wild score through its suavity, delicate tannins and freshness.
Temperature:
Serve between 14 and 16°C.Food and wine pairing:
Pigeon, game birds, partridge with cabbage embeurrée and smoked bacon.Cellar aging:
From now until 2030.
A prestigious signature, crowned with the highest critical acclaim, Domaine Jacques Prieur shines at the very summit of French winemaking. It is also the only estate to hold a third of the Côte-d'Or’s Grands Crus.
Its success and reputation are inseparable from Nadine Gublin, the estate’s lead winemaker since 1990, who has shaped a style of remarkable precision, uncompromising yet elegant.
Under the stewardship of the Labruyère family, this historic Beaune estate is arguably living its finest hours. Grand in its range of terroirs and in the quality of its wines, the domaine is more than a safe bet—it’s an essential reference. Managed organically since 1997 (currently in certification), its thirty hectares deliver exceptional fruit, crafted with masterful care. Every detail, from precise winemaking to measured aging, is executed flawlessly, with Nadine Gublin’s personal touch adding unique expression.
