Wine:

Perfectly accomplished, driven by a beautiful maturity, the 2019 Red Pommard Trois Follots honors its grape variety and terroir. Notes of warm cherries, quite typical of the Côte de Beaune, precede delicate, slightly toasted flavors of fruit, coupled with notes of milk toffee. The rich, concentrated palate, carried by beautiful tannins, remains smooth and unconstrained, forming a perfectly digestible whole, ready to drink or to age for another 3 to 4 years. This Pommard comes from a parcel located on a very steep slope next to the Rugiens 1er Cru and was planted in 1950.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, delicate pressing.
Aged in barrels for 12 months, 30% of which are new.

Color:

Rouge brillant d'intensité médium, aux reflets grenat.

Nose:

Fragrances of warm cherries and pit fruits mixed with notes of caramel.

Palate:

Rich and concentrated with delicate aromas of fruit, let yourself be charmed by this wine with a digestive profile and coated tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Feathered game in sauce, beef bourguignon, barbecued beef rib.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2026.

Burgundy is a highly prized land, drawing everyone's attention. Rare are high-quality labels at reasonable prices... But not unheard of either. Our Selection Committee found this excellent parcel of Pommard for less than 35 euros!
