Recently promoted to its rightful place in the Saint-Emilion classification, the very top, La Mondotte has become highly sought after for both its exclusivity and its uniquely refined tannins. This plateau cru, the earliest-ripening in the Von Neipperg family, is deeply rooted in its terroir, boasting undeniable power and prominent tannic structure at this stage.
The limestone expression of this cru is immediately evident in the nose of the 2023 vintage, with an aroma full of freshness. With significant breadth and tannic mass that time will tame, it offers great complexity and tremendous potential!
Rated 94-95/100 by RVF, it remains one of the standout labels of the vintage and the appellation.
