The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A rising star in Sancerre, Domaine Girard, led by brothers Anthony and David, is making waves in the wine world. With just 3 hectares on the legendary Monts Damnés terroir, the most prestigious in the appellation, they produce remarkable cuvées that are quickly earning a place among the best.

Experienced winemakers—David also owns Domaine des Chasseignes—the brothers represent the new generation to watch in Sancerre.
Wine The 2022 White Sancerre Les Monts Damnés, from the appellation’s most prized terroir—often considered its grand cru—delivers exceptional freshness and purity. With vibrant salinity, precise acidity, and an energetic character, this Sauvignon Blanc is layered with delicate notes of wisteria and white flowers. The finish is refined, with a mineral edge that adds depth, making it a beautifully balanced wine to enjoy over the next five years.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermented with neutral yeasts in 228-litre vats and barrels, matured in temperature-controlled vats and barrels on fine lees.
