The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Renowned in the Sancerre region and awarded 2 stars by the French wine guide the RVF, Gérard Boulay is a true master of Chavignol’s white, chalky soils—similar to those of Chablis and celebrated for producing wines with exceptional finesse and intense minerality.

On 14 hectares of the appellation’s most prized terroirs, he crafts wines with a strikingly pure mineral expression, free from overt varietal notes. These wines are powerful, structured, and built to age beautifully, showcasing depth and concentration.
Wine The 2022 Red Sancerre Oriane shows impressive depth, with a beautifully ripe expression of Pinot Noir. It’s an elegant wine with lasting character, handling its barrel aging effortlessly. While it’ll be ready to enjoy in a year or two, it promises to age beautifully over the coming years.
Vinification Hand-harvested, totally de-stemmed, vinified with indigenous yeasts and matured in tuns. No sulphur added.
