The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine At the pinnacle of the Côte de Beaune and a three-star estate in the French wine guide RVF, Chandon de Briailles is a historic domaine that masterfully balances tradition and precision, delivering wines of pure, unaltered authenticity.

A firm advocate of whole-cluster fermentation, which lends structure and depth that time refines beautifully, the estate has fully embraced biodynamics across its 14 hectares and reintroduced horse ploughing to preserve the integrity of its soils.

With unwavering confidence in its craft, Chandon de Briailles reveals the purest expression of Burgundy’s great wines—built to age gracefully for decades.
Wine The 2020 Red Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Île des Vergelesses has the depth and structure of a great ageing wine. Still young, it reveals ripe fruit aromas, with notes of blood orange and red berries. The palate is intensely smooth and juicy, with a tightly woven core that promises long cellaring potential. Sculpted by fine tannins, this dense and expressive wine will delight those who love full-bodied, structured reds. Rated 95/100 by the French wine guide RVF.
