The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Daniel Bouland is one of Beaujolais' greatest winemakers, with 2 stars in the RVF Guide, but his reputation extends far beyond the region. Acclaimed for his wines of great maturity, he produces models of complexity and density that raise the estate level every year.
Wine With extraordinary depth, the 2021 red Morgon Les Delys draws superb stature and concentration from its old 1926 vines planted on sandy soils. And what aromas! Between cherry and rose, the nose is sheer pleasure. The palate is already in place, with all the ripe silkiness of Gamay, unfurling a precise, particularly delicious juice, a sapid, slender texture carried by prominent, precise tannins. This is the aristocracy of Morgon, the pinnacle of the vintage. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 95/100.
Vinification Hand harvested from a one-hectare vineyard planted in 1978, 1985 and 1986; very traditional vinification, aged in oak tuns.
