The estate and the wine |
The Dampt brothers - Emmanuel and Éric - invested in the Chablis region over thirty years ago to craft wines with a distinct identity, from the three valleys of the Yonne, the Serein, and the Armançon. Their wide range of terroirs produces wines of precision and accuracy, with an impressive consistency.
As one of the finest family estates in Burgundy, the domaine has been our partner for several vintages, and its success shows no signs of waning. |

The 2022 white Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre comes from one of the most prestigious sectors, just below the hill of the Grand Crus, facing Blanchot. It opens with a ripe and fresh nose, showcasing the typical Chablisien shell-like character, complemented by a lovely floral aspect. The restrained oak aging ensures a beautiful freshness, and the structure follows this measured and particularly refined register. The balanced palate displays liveliness and substance, with fine mineral bitterness. A very fine expression of a Chablis Premier Cru, to be aged for 10 years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
