The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Ambassador of refinement and infused pinot noir grapes, David Duband pursues an exciting path towards excellence: that of respecting the integrity of the grape that relates the identity of his terroir. Today, he has reached the pinnacle of his success, with 2 stars in the RVF Green Guide, and continues to forge, with unparalleled skill, smooth and digestible wines, with present but measured maturation, vinified from whole grapes, depending on the vintage.
Wine Structured and slender at the same time, the 2020 red Morey-Saint-Denis offers a superb substance, punctuated by fresh and crisp tannins. The sharp and energetic frame composes a rather ideal Morey village, already well registered in its category. Rated 93/100 RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested, 80% whole grapes, vatting for 17 days with punching of the cap, pressing then settling for 2 weeks before maturing for 14 months in barrels, 40% of which are new, 60% of which are one, two or three wines, followed by 3 months in vats.
