The estate and the wine |
Gevrey-Chambertin is a mythical appellation of the Côte-de-Nuits subregion of Burgundy. A seductive wine of unique concentration and finesse, a rare alliance of purity and balance that Thierry Mortet - brother of the iconic and late Denis Mortet - converts into each of his wines.
His exceptional heritage of vines, among the region’s most esteemed, allows him to deliver small jewels of precision at still reasonable prices. |

The 2020 Red Gevrey-Chambertin is charming, ripe and fresh. The nose has beautiful aromas of red fruits, burlat cherries and a touch of violets, which is very characteristic of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir. It is a pleasantly delicate wine, one that is already very pleasant today, with fine tannins. Its beautiful structure will ensure that you can enjoy it for another ten years! A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100. |
