The estate and the wine |

Founded in 2011 by Michel Chevré, former vineyard manager for Thierry Germain, Clos de l’Ecotard has quickly become one of the undisputed references in the Loire.
Now, Chevré père et fils (father and son) craft some of the purest and most brilliant cuvées in the region, using organic farming practices. These terroir-driven wines, marked by great precision, are masterfully aged in barrels or amphorae.

A sparkling Chenin from a 30-are parcel of old vines, the 2018 White Saumur Brut Les Quarts Saint-Vincent is an exclusive cuvée held to the same high standards as the rest of the estate's range. Fermented in large casks, with no dosage, and aged for nearly 5 years on lees—just like a great Champagne—this wine offers a delicately smoky, energetic expression of the varietal, precise and invigorating. A standout ambassador for the fine bubbles of the Loire Valley. |
