The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Egly-Ouriet, rated 4 stars by the RVF Guide, embodies the pinnacle of Champagne craftsmanship. With nearly 17 hectares of vines, including ten classified as Grand Cru in Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay, Francis Egly has established a legacy of excellence. Now joined by his son Charles and daughter Clémence, the estate continues to uphold its exacting standards.

The wines are unmatched in their balance and refinement, offering a classic style that few can rival. From the first cuvée in the range, the Champagnes showcase depth and precision, with Pinot Noir at their core, cultivated from very old vines. The meticulous approach includes barrel vinification and extended cellar ageing, resulting in wines that reach their peak when the time is right.

Pure, noble, and complex, Egly-Ouriet Champagnes consistently deliver a unique expression of their exceptional terroir, setting the benchmark for the region.
Wine Rated 100/100 by Parker, the 2008 white Grand Cru Champagne is likely the greatest vintage of the decade, driven by an extraordinary year. Bottled in 2009 with very low dosage, it has now reached its peak, showcasing the full complexity, power, and intensity of Pinot Noir. Notes of praline, toasted bread, and white fruits glide over a framework of inimitable chalky tension. The bubbles are exceptionally fine, leading to an endless finish. This is a monumental Champagne, exemplifying the very best that the region has achieved over the past 30 years.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification with indigenous yeasts and in oak barrels. Long ageing on lees for 98 months before disgorging. Unfiltered wine.
