The estate and the wine Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac is a superb estate located on Saint-Emilion's gravelly terrace, one of the most sought-after areas in the appellation, renowned for its finesse and elegance. On the very fine 2018 vintage, acclaimed for its stature and fidelity to the great Bordeaux style, the Château achieved a faultless performance.

It would be wrong to underestimate this cru, whose harmonious, generous and upright style is universal. It's a pure Bordeaux creation, with irresistible charm and an enviable price-quality ratio for its pedigree.
Wine Buoyed by a beautiful vintage, the 2018 Red Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac has a fine nose with pit fruit and graphite aromas, and a very slight evolution that befits it. The firm palate, carried by firm tannins, delivers a tight whole, in a register that remains delicate and fresh, with a very nice graphite return on the finish; a fine bottle that will age a few more years serenely, rated 92/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats of various sizes. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels (33% new).
