The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Maison Guigal’s success is not just a remarkable winemaking achievement but also a deeply inspiring human story. The estate has become a true benchmark of excellence.

Renowned as icons of Rhône Valley viticulture, the legendary Côtes-Rôties—La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque—are the ultimate expression of this supremacy. Masterfully crafted, built to age, powerful yet refined, they offer a depth and finesse that go beyond mere emotion. These wines are timeless treasures, firmly established in the global wine heritage.
Wine From a single 0.9-hectare plot on the famed Côte Brune, with 7% Viognier in the blend, the 2021 Red Côte Rôtie La Turque is a wine of majestic stature. The palate is vibrant and tightly wound at this stage, yet brimming with promise. Gorgeous layers of dark berry fruit, exotic spices, and smoky, savory bacon notes unfold with precision. Always the most opulent of the trio, La Turque impresses with its remarkable depth, intensity, and lingering finish — a wine that wears its grandeur proudly. Destined for long aging, this is a bottle that will easily evolve over 20 to 30 years, if not longer.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, extraction using an automatic punching-down system, alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 4 weeks. Single ageing for 40 months in new barrels.
Vines aged around 30 years, planted on just over 1 hectare.
