The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A master of Côte-Rôtie, Jean-Luc Jamet has quickly secured his place among the elite of the appellation. His talent was evident from the start—his very first vintage in 2013 immediately stood out, showcasing the sheer precision and brilliance of this exceptional terroir.

Produced in tiny quantities, his wines capture the essence of Syrah at its finest, offering pure, unfiltered expressions of the land. Recognizing this from the beginning, we committed early to this discreet yet remarkable estate.

You can read more about the estate in our latest issue of Racines. Thanks to our strong relationship with the estate and the overwhelming response to the last release, we’ve secured an additional allocation of this outstanding vintage.
Wine Sourced from some of the finest terroirs in Côte-Rôtie—often singled out as single-vineyard cuvées by neighboring estates—the 2021 Red Côte-Rôtie Terrasses is a beautifully structured Syrah, aged for nearly two years in barrels of various sizes. It reveals layers of dark berries, subtle spice, and a refined mineral edge, all wrapped in an elegant, finely balanced style with a delicate saline finish. Already irresistible, it is delicious now but will age gracefully for many years to come. Rated 95/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, 70% destemmed. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with immersed cap for 21 days. Aged on fine lees for 22 months in barrels of various sizes, 15-20% of which are new.
