The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Adored by the greatest Michelin-starred chefs, Denis Jeandeau had become a phenomenon. Régis Marcon, Le Pré Catelan, Lameloise, L’Arpège, L’Ambroisie, and Guy Savoy, to name just a few, featured his wines on their menus. Justifiably awarded two stars by the RVF guide for several years, he was considered one of the greatest talents of his generation.

We were deeply shocked by his sudden passing last summer, as over the years, he had become not just a friend but also a close associate of Ventealapropriete.

Given this relationship, built from his early days, we were greatly honored to be entrusted by his loved ones with the distribution of the last bottles he produced.
Wine The 2016 white Viré-Clessé Or du Temps is of exceptional class, a distinct cuvée from a unique plot and aged in ten separate barrels. As the quintessence of the appellation, produced only in the finest vintages, this white with immense potential offers a riper and more concentrated version of Viré-Clessé than typically encountered, while maintaining the straightness and purity of aromas with notes of acacia, hints of honeysuckle, and a noble chalkiness, complemented by the subtle toasted touch from the aging process. With its great volume, vibrancy, and depth, this wine is suited for gastronomy and deserves extended cellaring, possessing all the necessary potential. Arguably the greatest Viré-Clessé in terms of complexity, depth, and precision! Rated 96/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Harvested by hand.2500 bottles produced.
