Far from any archetype or simplicity, they capture the fine expression of Morgon's best terroirs, nurtured with a refined, wood-free aging process that imparts a certain firmness in youth, hinting at their enormous potential.

Anyone who has tasted the wines crafted by the sibling duo Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît Desvignes has experienced a special emotion. A favorite of Parker in Beaujolais, who highly recommends "these sumptuous wines that embody everything brilliant about Morgon," they are definitely worth seizing without hesitation.
Wine A new cuvée from the estate, produced for the third time, the 2022 red Morgon Côte du Py Javernières Aux Pierres comes from a more stony terroir in the esteemed Javernières area, rich in clay and manganese deep down. The 90-year-old vines offer superb thickness, substance, and volume, while aging in ovoid concrete tanks preserves a pure, expressive, and brilliantly vibrant fruit. With 50% whole cluster fermentation, the juice is luxurious, marked by black fruits and an almost saline balance. This Morgon is undoubtedly made for aging.
Vinification Hand-harvested, traditional vinification in whole bunches.
Aged in concrete eggs for 10 months.
