Energized by the new generation, Domaine Le Roc is revitalizing Fronton and introducing a range of totally exciting, identity-driven wines. Grégoire and Anne Ribes now oversee these slopes, characterized by Négrette and Syrah for the reds, infusing them with new dynamism.

The 2021 red Fronton La Folle Noire d'Ambat is a great opportunity to get acquainted with Négrette (locally known as folle noire) and to venture off the beaten path. Partially aged in large oak casks, this red offers juicy, blood-like fruit with notes of graphite, black fruits, and particularly wild blackberry. The style is delicate and fresh, utterly delightful, paired with a light structure and smooth tannins, resulting in a digestible and enjoyable ensemble. Best enjoyed within the next three years. Rated 92/100 by the Committee. |
