From 4 hectares of very special soil with a granite subsoil, the 2020 red Le Pavillon Ermitage is a 100% Syrah harvested at the limit of over-ripeness and aged in oak barrels with one-third new wood, offering the quintessence of its terroir. Notes of warm stone, mocha, and black fruits, bonded in an extremely rich texture with ripe tannins, profile a very great wine, an "essence of granite" of superb balance, which is also very intense, deep, and of rare elegance.
