The estate and the wine |

At the heart of Pessac-Léognan, La Mission Haut-Brion stands in opposition to Château Haut-Brion. These two legends share the same terroir as well as the same winemaking teams. While Haut-Brion may occasionally take the lead in aging, the sensuality of La Mission's wines bestows upon it, in its early years, a superiority recognized by the majority of critics. As they age, there is nothing to envy about its rival, with a consistently tender and exquisitely suave core of flavor. |

The 2016 Red Pessac-Léognan Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion once again showcases magnificent craftsmanship. With an unparalleled freshness, supported by a unique silkiness and top-notch cabernets, this vintage boasts a lavish velvety texture, tinged with aromas of black fruits, spices, black tea, and flowers. Profound, intense, and exceptionally promising, it ranks among the greats. Rated 94/100 by Parker. |
