The estate and the wine |
A towering figure in the Southern Rhône, the Perrin family has established Château Beaucastel as a hallmark of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and one of the most innovative and acclaimed estates in the appellation.
Leveraging their expertise, they craft a range of wines that are consistently impeccable, approachable, and uniform, across neighboring appellations and, of course, in the Côtes-du-Rhône, the crown jewel appellation renowned for its excellent value for money. |

The 2021 red Côtes-du-Rhône Réserve is intense, brimming with lovely dark fruit, particularly blackberry, and well-developed tannic structure. It's a very dense wine with a very appealing mid-palate, still young but with real potential. A fine achievement highlighted by aromas of violet, it's a high-caliber wine that can be enjoyed in its youth but will continue to improve over the next two years. Pair it with red meats, like a hearty stew, for example. |
