The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine An icon of Saint-Estèphe and awarded 3 stars by the RVF Guide (Revue du Vin de France, a prestigious French wine guide), Château Montrose solidifies its dominance with unmatched authority. The transformative vision brought by Martin Bouygues immediately elevated the estate, with the addition of a state-of-the-art winery and a top-tier team led by Hervé Berland, former director of Mouton-Rothschild.

The exceptional terroir quickly responded to these "Formula 1" adjustments, producing some of the finest wines in the estate’s history in recent years. The outstanding 2019 vintage, in particular, exceeded all expectations and was awarded 97/100 by Parker.
Wine The 2019 Red Saint-Estèphe Dame de Montrose impresses with its clarity and elegance. This wine delivers precise aromas of ripe red and black fruit, elevated by the freshness of perfectly ripened Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Floral accents and a refined mineral core add depth to its character. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture with remarkable balance and freshness, reflecting the exceptional terroir of Saint-Estèphe. Rated 93/100 by the RVF Guide, it is a truly compelling expression of the Montrose style.
Vinification Hand harvested from 19 September to 8 October. Vinification in stainless steel vats, aged for 12 months in barrels, 35% of which are new.
