A 2-star RVF Rhone tenor, Pierre-Jean Villa, a close friend of VALAP, never ceases to dazzle us! With each new vintage, he moves us to new heights, deploying his brilliant style to produce energetic, seductive wines that amaze wine-lovers everywhere.
His 17 hectares spread between the major crus on both banks of the Rhône enable him to vinify a wide range of appellations, including the fantastic Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu. With an acute sensitivity and sense of detail, he produces wines of great vigor, carried by intense perfumes, always imbued with extreme delicacy and perfectly marking their schist or granite soils. |

A model of fine, elegant Viognier, the 2020 white Condrieu Jardin Suspendu displays beautiful fruity notes while maintaining remarkable balance. Fresh, pure and full-bodied, it retains the refined profile befitting this cuvée, driven by ripe, exotic fruit, richness and a fully-adjusted ageing process that makes it easy to forget. Rated 92/100 RVF and 94/100 B+D. |

Harvested by hand. Whole grapes are poured case by case directly into the press. Low-temperature settling for 12 to 24 hours, followed by temperature-controlled vinification in 15-hl foudre, demi-muids and stoneware jars. Aged for 12 months. Racking and blending 6 weeks before bottling. |
