Another brilliant success from Château Larcis Ducasse! The 2024 release is a masterclass in classic Saint-Émilion—full-bodied yet graceful, with remarkable elegance and a beautifully refined texture. It’s a sensuous, velvety wine, built around 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, aged in barrel with 50% new oak, adding polish without excess.
This is Larcis Ducasse in all its glory: expressive, poised, and unmistakably rooted in its exceptional terroir. The estate’s 11 contiguous hectares—perched on one of the appellation’s best-exposed slopes overlooking the Dordogne Valley—are among the finest sites in Saint-Émilion.
It's no surprise to see this 1er Grand Cru Classé climbing ever higher among Bordeaux’s elite. The Gratiot family has every reason to be proud: with its silky texture, purity, and underlying tension, framed by refined, gently spiced tannins, Larcis Ducasse offers a level of sophistication that few can rival.
Simply sublime. |
