The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Roche de Bellene stands as a pinnacle of excellence. Its founder, Nicolas Potel, crafts some of the most sensual wines in Burgundy. The use of very old vines, organic farming practices, and understated aging are all precisely adjusted elements that create wines of exceptional realism and accuracy, with sincere and abundant fruit.

The standard achieved today is remarkable, and Olivier Poussier is enthusiastic about each of his wines.
Wine Lightly extracted, fragrant, and elegant, the 2022 Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes meets all the highest standards of Burgundy. It's a fine and radiant Pinot Noir, with magnificent definition, featuring exalted, straightforward, and perfectly ripe fruit. The barrel aging pleasantly supports the wine, and despite a slightly higher proportion of new barrels for this cuvée, it's barely noticeable. The result is cohesive, harmonious, and incredibly enticing. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Harvested by hand. Aged in oak barrels.
