A protégé of Raúl Pérez, he belongs to this new generation of Rioja producers who can hold their own against the best of Bierzo.

With very old vines planted at over 500 meters of altitude and meticulous “French-style” aging in large oak barrels, Diego Magaña focuses on every detail to bring out the best of each terroir. Praised by Parker, his success is now lighting up the wine world and his reputation continues to soar.

Beautifully ripe and exquisitely balanced, the 2022 Bierzo Selección de Parcelas Red offers delicate aromas of warm cherry, accented by subtle oak, fresh mint, and a hint of eucalyptus. Generous on the palate without being heavy, its measured alcohol and present yet polished tannins create a remarkably refined and easy-drinking structure.
