Prodigious in its youth and emotion, the 1969 Riesling Spatlese Achleiten Wachau is a wine out of the ordinary: beyond time and classical criteria. 1969 is one of Austria's finest vintages of the century, still showing astonishing youth. Soak it up and savor its subtle notes of candied citrus, dried fruit, exotic nuances and spices. With its hallucinatory patina, the palate offers superb vibrancy, a rare evolution of a dry-tender Riesling, as our sommeliers say, a timeless, graceful version of the great Austrian wines, with surprisingly present, suave fruit. This dry-tender Riesling has, as our sommeliers say, consumed some of its sugars, offering us a timeless, graceful version of the great Austrian wines.
