Offering the best value for enjoyment within its appellation, the 2021 Red Côte Rôtie Coteau de Bassenon presents a beautiful, concentrated nose of violet, soot, and smoke, complemented by perfectly adjusted oaked aging. The wine is fleshy and powerful, yet remains digestible and elegant, resulting in a truly remarkable bottle. It stands among the top-tier wines of Côte Rôtie and received a 94/100 rating from the Selection Committee.Vinification:
Hand-harvested, totally destemmed, vinification in stainless-steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks, with daily pumping-over and punching-down during alcoholic fermentation.Aged in barrels, 20% of which are new, for 18 months.
