A Selection Committee Favorite rated 94/100
Wine:
The 2017 Red Côte de Brouilly Lieu-dit Les Brûhliés is a complete success, a Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100. It is a relatively full-bodied wine, far from the "thirsty wine" registers of Beaujolais, carried by very ripe and well-extracted aromas of fruit, with fresh notes of cherry in syrup and pepper. The ample, full-bodied palate reveals beautiful red and black fruit flavors, highlighted by the sobriety of the maturation. The tannins are present but should be refined in the next six months. A quality bottle to be reserved for a nice piece of meat! Aging potential of three to five years.Vinification:
Hand harvested, vinification in whole grapes and partially destemmed.Aged for 24 months in demi-muids.
Color:
Dark red with garnet reflections.Nose:
Ripe and fresh at the same time with notes of cherries in syrup and peppery touches.Palate:
Dense and full-bodied, this wine of good maturity releases a palate with present tannins
Temperature:
Serve between 16 and 18°C.Food and wine pairing:
Nice piece of red meat, roasted or on the grill.Cellar aging:
From now until 2026, and even more for enthusiasts.
