Wine:

The 2023 Petra Rosé from IGP Alpilles is, without a doubt, one of the finest rosés in France—though one might ask, is it even still a rosé? No matter, because the wine is simply stunning. With its orange-tinged hue and a blend of 70% Cinsault, complemented by Syrah and Grenache, it enters a whole new realm of expression, further elevated by partial aging on the lees in concrete eggs. This is a terroir-driven rosé that pulses with energy and exhilaration, offering incredible lift, perfect balance, and a palate that's both intensely flavorful and refreshingly crisp. Exceptionally smooth, it stands tall among the most harmonious rosés out there. Rated 95/100 by the French wine guide RVF.
