Wine:

Composed of a wide variety of grape varieties, the 2021 white Swartland Palladius immediately impresses, right from the first sniff. Expansive and with great depth, it unfolds beautiful aromas of melon, lemon, and pastry cream. Fantastic balance and freshness characterize it, offering maximum tension combined with very nice bitterness that stretches the palate, all supported by very enjoyable aging notes. An ultra-complex white wine with a never-ending finish of lemongrass and white flowers. Dazzlingly beautiful! Rated 99/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Fermentation in amphorae, concrete vats and foudres. Aged for 24 months on lees in amphorae, ovoid concrete vats and foudres.

Bright, light yellow with golden highlights.

Subtle wax aromas underscored by notes of lemon custard and a floral hint.

Palate:

Complex, with fresh citrus flavors and a long, persistent structure marked by moderate acidity and fine balance.
